Appying to be a Partner in Conservation PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 27 January 2008

Please note: this program is for small community projects or for researchers working in East Africa, primarily Kenya's Rift Valley and northern Tanzania's borderlands along the Rift. Please read the criteria carefully; and please note, this is not a direct-grant program at this time, so please do not apply for a large cash grant.

Researchers and community groups may apply, and if approved by the Board of Directors, become one of our Partners in Conservation.

Partner status allows groups or individuals with no official non-profit affiliation to solicit independent supporters and foundations to donate to their work through African Conservation Fund, enjoying the benefit of tax deductions. This is primarily a benefit to projects and researchers with potential donors in the U.S.

In the future, we will have a small grants program to benefit our Partners as well, through direct funding. In the meantime, the primary benefit for our Partners is to allow them to solicit and receive funding legally, through a legitimate, vetted organization recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service as a charity.

We have uploaded our current application. Click here to download the 220kb PDF. If you have cannot read the PDF, please email us for an application (if the email link does not work in your browser, please use the Contact Us button in the menu bar above). There is also a link to the application on our Resource Center.  Please email us with any questions prior to submitting any applications. Thank you.
