African Conservation Fund (ACF) is a 16-year-old East African institution founded and run by a small team of dedicated Africans. ACF is unique because of its strong basis in science, its honoring of traditional knowledge of local people, and its targeted longterm community-based conservation projects. The centre also houses and fosters numerous other regional research and conservation organizations.
We aim at promoting and awareness for science and conservation in East Africa. The mission of African Conservation Fund is to conserve wildlife and the natural environment through collaborative application of both scientific and indigenous knowledge, and by enhancing livelihoods and developing local institutions.
